After missing the last three races with a fractured talus bone, Rory Skinner makes a welcome return to the American Racing team in time for his home round at Silverstone, where he made his Moto2 debut in 2022 with the team as a wildcard entry.

Unfortunately, teammate Sean Kelly will miss the British Grand Prix as he continues his recovery from forearm surgery. The American underwent a procedure during the summer break for arm pump issues which plagued him for the first half of the season. However, due to fluid build-up in the area, he will sit out the round at Silverstone as he targets Austria for his return.

Speaking ahead of his home round, Rory said: “It’s been a long eight/nine weeks since my accident at Mugello and it’s been a pretty boring road to recovery as there wasn’t a lot I could do with the complications of the injury. For the last two weeks, I’ve been back to training: cycling, in the gym, and riding bikes. It’s been really enjoyable being able to go back to doing all the things that I normally do. I’m feeling good for Silverstone, I’m really looking forward to the weekend and being back with the team. It should be pretty enjoyable, my first home Grand Prix as a full-time Moto2 rider. Last year was amazing but I’m hoping this year will be even better.”
